The purpose of the prophetic is not to foretell of things to come, but to draw believers into prayer for or against its fulfilment. It takes a discerning writer to turn a prophetic word into a tool for prayer.
A nation’s literature is like a tree that produces fruit. But an axe waits at the root of a tree that bears no fruit. Such a tree is thrown into the fire. It takes a writer of wisdom to remain connected to the root.
